About JJ May
My full name is John Joseph May III, but I’m known by my family and friends as JJ. I was born in San Francisco although I’ve lived and traveled the world.
Sports and music have followed me my entire life. I began my athletics at 5 and began playing trumpet, acting, and later learned the slide trombone and French horn (as well as dabbling with the guitar and piano). I have won awards for my jazz trumpet and was highly involved in the school of the arts where I attended high school. This was all in conjunction with my sports; football, baseball, wrestling, martial arts, etc. Post high school I joined the Military after no longer being able to pursue a future in sports due to injury. I therefore decided to utilize my athletic abilities by serving my country.
Post Military, I returned home further injured and was confronted with the reality of starting all over with no direction. I pursued modeling and acting in addition to learning the ropes of the business world. Not long after this, I moved to Europe to follow a beautiful female dancer who had stolen my heart and to start my new career in modeling. From there I traveled the world shooting campaigns and covers, as well as being involved in TV appearances, movies and theatre.
After returning home from Europe, having lost a love and gained a direction, I decided I wanted to give back to karma whatever I could. I integrated myself back into personal training and therapy which I had unknowingly done my whole life. It was this change that led me to Chippendales and my new start in Las Vegas. What could be better than training and working at the same time as surrounding myself with beautiful women and wonderful people!?
